Bryan is a graduate of the Universities of East Anglia and Durham in Music and Composition and thereafter trained as a teacher, gaining a PGCE. He has extensive experience as a professional musician, having been a choral scholar and lay clerk in the Cathedral Choirs of Norwich, Durham, Gloucester and subsequently Chester Cathedral.

Besides singing in a professional capacity, Bryan teaches Voice, Piano, Composition and Theory from his Chester studio to all ages and abilities.
